25 Little Tiger Springtails (Entomobrya multifasciata)

Product Details

A beautifully striped and arid springtail species. Similar in appearance to female Entomobrya atrocincta but lacking sexual dimorphism. E. multifasciata are pollinators in the wild and enjoy bee pollen in culture. This species is sensitive to prolonged high humidity so should have a well ventilated enclosure with a moisture gradient ready for them.

-

Entomobrya multifasciata have limited potential as a cleanup crew because of their moderate reproduction speed and semi-specialized diet. They can still be used in dry or low humidity enclosures but are best alongside other springtails that do the cleaning. Despite requiring low humidity they will still require access to a permanently moist area for egg laying and moisture regulation, such as sphagnum moss under the water dish. See the Cleanup Crew Guides for more information: www.springtails.us/cleanup-crew-guides

-

Culture Entomobrya multifasciata on soil with a moisture gradient and high ventilation only. Feed Springtails US Premium Springtail Food and supplement their diet with bee pollen granules. See the Care Guides for more information: www.springtails.us/care-guides
