1lb Springtail Clay

My unique blend of clay powder developed specifically for culturing springtails. Clay is the easiest culturing method to harvest from, simply tilt the culture and tap them out.

Just add water! Mix the clay powder thoroughly with the specified ratio of water in a separate bowl then spread the clay mixture on the bottoms and side of a lidded deli cup or airtight container. See the guide at www.springtails.us/care-guides.

1lb of clay can make roughly 12 8oz deli cup cultures or 2 32oz deli cup cultures, the exact quantity varies by the thickness that you apply the clay.

This is a CALCIUM BEARING clay. Calcium bearing clay is the standard for use with feeder springtails.

TWO parts clay to ONE part water is the optimal consistency. Distilled or purified water is preferred.
