25 Tomocerus vulgaris
Large, strikingly fast, and a great intermediate level springtail for hobbyists. This species makes an excellent addition to any collection. Sometimes referred to as the “common bull springtail.” This stock is confirmed not to be Tomocerus minor, see bottom of description for information on the identification.

Originally collected by Roach Crossing from a woodland in Livonia, Michigan. Typically found in soil environments. Range/Distribution: Northern Hemisphere.

Identification: Confirmed via microscopy: dental spines not tridentate, and habitus: scales reflect banding coloration in the right lighting typical of the species.
