Sugar maple leaves are a favorite of isopods and millipedes and make a great addition to substrates as well as a necessary addition to the top layer of your isopod and millipede cultures.

These leaves are not sold by weight but by volume, though the boxes are absolutely stuffed full! These leaves are not purposely dried and pretty like our Stuffed Gallon bags, and may contain decaying moist leaves, though that makes them even more attractive to your detritivorous pets.

The leaves were bagged in breathable bags Autumn of 2023 and protected from the rain and snow though still frozen solid by the elements during the winter to help prevent pests. They are taken from these large bags and boxed with no further sterilization or drying. Moisture level and subsequently weight will vary by box. Percentage of leaves that are fresh opposed to partially decayed will vary by box. Some mold may occur which is a natural part of the decaying process of leaves.
