Armadillidium vulgare is among the common roly-poly type isopods found throughout the world. They thrive in a wide range of environments and are one of the best beginner species. A. vulgare is known to feed on sensitive plants in terrariums.

Collected by Springtails US in Peru, Illinois from a leaf pile in May of 2023. Individuals of this culture present wild type grays with splashes of yellow. This culture is of captive bred and born individuals only, no wild caught stock.

They seem healthy and some of them had the interesting coloring, others were the "normal" color you you might find in your yard. I had found 2 in my yard with colors similar to these so I hope that they all breed together and make nice looking offspring, but either way these will be a nice addition to my vivarium.
