Product Details

This springtail is tiny but they boast wonderful bright white spots on a black background that makes them stand out. I recommend starting them in a small culture container until populations increase.

-

Sminthurinus quadrimaculatus are tiny and reproduce at a moderate rate so are not an effective standalone cleanup crew though they can be coupled with other springtails like Lepidocyrtus in moderate humidity enclosures. See the Cleanup Crew Guides for more information: www.springtails.us/cleanup-crew-guides

-

Culture Sminthurinus quadrimaculatus on Springtail Plaster or soil. Feed yeast, dry rice, or Springtails US springtail food mixes. See the Care Guides for more information: www.springtails.us/care-guides

-

Current restock schedule: Weekly (usually Tuesday nights).

-

Ships on Springtail Plaster, can be cultured in the cups they ship in. See the "Springtail Shipping Methods" section on the FAQ page.

These guys are so stinking cute! They are hard to see with the naked eye, so I thought I lost all the cultures I made from my order, but they are booming!

All came in alive, very pretty and their pattern is surprisingly visible despite their size!
